Hi, friends. It's with a not-so-heavy heart that I'm going to be taking an extended leave from Beasts of Beyond. I've only been active onsite for a short time, from around the end of March 2020 to today, June 26th, 2020, but my account ranks among some of the oldest on this site. The few months that I actively wrote here were some of the best — the quality of writing, characters, and people here are of a much higher standard than that of many other websites, and I've enjoyed the level of creative freedom that this site hosts. I've made a lot of new friends, and I've reconnected with some old ones.
That being said, I no longer find any enjoyment from this site. Over the past few weeks I've slowly but surely come to the realization that staying here is not in the best interests of my mental health. I still love writing, and I still want to write, but I can't do it in an environment that makes me constantly unhappy. My characters will be following me to another website.
As for the fates of my characters on this site, it can be assumed that Alaric left Tanglewood in order to pursue his passions somewhere else. It can also be assumed that Margaret/Maggie got lost in the Typhoon's jungle and never returned.
If I had a plot with you, I offer my sincerest apologies.
With that, I need to go to the store. We're running out of eggs, and I'm cooking dinner tonight. Bye, everyone.
