THE AETERNA
THE INTRODUCTION.
Chapter One
◦━ The Aeternas are an ancient family of mages. Through the ages, they have mostly kept to themselves, practicing their sorceries in secret away from the watchful eye of the greater groups. Until now.

There was, shall we say, a change in leadership.
Now guided by the light of Nokstella's inner star, the Aeternas follow her guidance, her word. They have begun to infiltrate the outside world, ascending from the depths of their caves, their  underground lairs. Intent on learning the incantations, the forbidden magiks of the Others.

Indeed, they have been kept hidden for too long. But times are changing.
So too shall they.
THE HISTORY.
Chapter Two -
  The Aeternas, for as long as their scrolls record, have always operated under a royalty system.
A partriarchy. Until now.


The last true monarch was Nok.
He was, for the most part, a fair and just leader. He valued honor above all, and thus came their rules. But his brother did not.

Of what the scrolls tell us, Nok's brother was either never named, or his name was forbidden.
He was violent, and cruel, and unjust in any way one could imagine.
Above all else, he wanted to rule.
Nok compromised, for the safety of the family. He offered his nameless brother a place at his side, but that didn't satisfy the Nameless One.

It happened under the night of the falling star.
Nok was struck down by a poison that none of those proficient in medicine could identify.
He left no children, which meant that the Nameless One was his heir... And, well, you know what' happened next.

The Nameless One changed the rules; no longer did the Aeternas value "Honor Above All". They became crueler, more wicked, as time progressed.
Some of the rules were lost to the ages, scrolls burned, but not all.

Nokstella was the one, hundreds of years later after Nok had become less than a legend, to restore the Age of Honor. She believed the legends when no one else would and, guided by thestars, she challenged her father for his place as Pulsar.

She won.
THE LORE.
Chapter Three -
The story goes that the Aeternas were originally formed by the union of the sun and the moon.
The sun and the moon had thousands of children; the stars.

Little is known of the stars, in truth. Only that the greatest of the stars swallowed several of their siblings into their midst, forming the constellations, which gave them power.

This power is believed to have been harnessed by the first of the Aeternas. Primitive beasts who could not think for themselves; the constellations power changed that.
The Aeternas grew powerful; too powerful. They were a threat to the outside world, those that could not harness such power, those that the constellations shunned.
The Others formed an alliance to vanquish the Aeternas.
They were surrounded.

With no victory insight, those that survived the battle fled; some joined ranks with the Others, some ran into the forest, some fled into the caves.
All that is known, is that the Aeternas were gone.
It was victory for the Others.

Or so they thought.
THE RULES.
Chapter Four -
◦━ 1. The Pulsar’s word is law. There is no room, nor time, for questioning their rule and authority.
◦━  2. Do not attack another family member. If faced with another Aeterna in battle, you are to turn and find another opponent. Harming another member of the family will result in exile.
◦━  3. Acts of violence of any kind against those beneath eight months old are strictly prohibited.
◦━  4. The Pulsar demands that all opponents be given a fair chance in a fight; if your opponent does not have a weapon, lay down your arms and fight with your claws.
◦━  5. Running in the face of battle is a disgrace to the Aeterna name and will be punished as the Pulsar sees fit.
◦━  6. Acts of violence of a sexual kind are prohibited, and punished with exile or death. Or both.
◦━ 7. Honor is the way of the Aeterna. The family take vows and promises very seriously, and to break one such is to disgrace the family, and will result in a punishment that the Pulsar deem befitting.

The Pulsar(s) is the Head of the family. They keep a track of those within the family and keep a document on everyone at all times. They are essentially the kings and queens within the Aeterna name; what they say, goes. There is no room for question.

Neutron Stars are the children or siblings of the Pulsar(s). They are regarded as a sort of royalty, that of a prince or princess, and have a lot of authority within the family, though not as much as their parents. It is common for a Neutron Star to become a Pulsar when one or both die or step down, however this isn’t a requirement.

Long before Sorbet had joined the Typhoon he used to roam the lands by himself. He would soon meet the father of the litter and the two would fall in love but things quickly turned sour for the couple. The father would become very abusive and manipulative with Sorbet. Sorbet ends up falling pregnant with the litter and around when they are 4 months he tries to kill the kits so they would not have to live with the father. He had assumed that it had worked and fled in the night where he would soon find himself in the Typhoon. But he had not been successful in his attempt. You can come up with how your child survived from here.

- The main plot I have right now is that Sorbet finds out about the kits and will react badly to seeing them. If you would like feel free to dm me on here or through discord and we can plot something out between them if you would like.

- Sorbet will not be fatherly towards the kit and will actively try to avoid them but I am open to him eventually growing fond of the kit and working towards mending their relationship. If you would like this please dm me.

She hadn't meant to bump into him but they had just finished up the job and had been on the lookout for something to do to relax after something that was so mentally taxing to her sometimes. hey there! so i had the funky idea of bird and cat hybrids (as if nobody has before lol), but i have a bit of a backstory to introduce/suggest!

these hybrids in specific come from a place where the beyond hasn't travelled/unknown lands, and they find their way to the mainland of bob or its islands, whatever you want lol. but they come from a place called the 'icarian empire', where countless hybrids are ruled over by an empress, who upon hearing of other lands outside of their own, has decided to send a bunch of her people and trusted high-positions on a quest: to explore the lands of the beyond and either return home with the news, or to set up camp within the beyond and live their lives out. as icarians, the hybrids are given their fair share of freedom. the ranks within the empire run from the royal bloodlines, to the duchy's household, the count's family and to the keeps of barons to the ranks of arch-knight, knight and knight equitable aside from the commoners. feel free to choose from these ranks for your icarian if you wish to adopt one!

so the icarians are hybrids, right? they in main majority: inherit talons in place of claws, inherit feathered wings, and they also inherit the vocal traits of birds, including their species' signature cries. the icarians are known to prefer the raptors, scavengers and corvids for the highest ranks though these family groups will often take in eggs from other family groups and raise them as their own. the core belief of the icarian families is that the village raises the children, with nesting parents often allowing other families to trade one or more of their hatchlings with other nesting parents and families looking to take in a younger child. thus, most and many family units within the empire are blended.

forms are free for all and slots are unlimited! its not much of an original idea, just a thought lol so i wont be restricting those who want to make people who lived in or around the foreign empire of icarian. the forms are free for all! i will have some designs that are going to be up for grabs, but i can't promise many lol. the adopts i make will come with reference sheets and their species named. as for those who wish to have icarians from my oc's (sabbath and empress frigg) family groupings, please note that you do not have to follow a dark pelt or blackbird genes for sabbath (but for frigg it would be best to have them as a big cat as she is a lion), they were raised with multiple others from other species. sabbath does also have four younger blended/bio siblings that they left behind when they came to the isle.

Hello everyone! We need a leader for Tanglewood and The Typhoon. Brief descriptions are being provided below for more information. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on-site, reply below, or on Discord!

A quick note on activity requirements for leaders: Usually the requirements (as mentioned in the guide tab) is for a leader to be active every four days. This, obviously, has been pushed to the side due to my own issues and inability to monitor these things. After all, we all would be without leaderships if that was true at the moment. I may revisit this rule due to the site's activity. At this point we're just looking for someone who can at least post semi-regularly and push events forth throughout these groups.

Rhosmari, Ciabhan's roleplayer, and I talked about rolling back Cia's leadership, saying Morrison is still a leader. Then handing leadership off to the next leader, saying Morrison has retired... but if not, I would step up with Morrison again. Given my activity though, I do not think that is fair though. Hence these applications.

— Captain [leader]: The highest position in the the Typhoon; the overseer of everything in the group. They are expected to understand the basics to each division as they are the ultimate head to each one. They are in charge of every decision made within the group. Their word is the law and they are referred as "Captain Name or Surname".

— Luminary [leader]: The highest in the hierarchy of powers, and in simplest terms, the leader. Capabilities include hosting clan-wide meetings, promotions and demotions, managing politics and raids,  among other common tasks.


What does Beasts of Beyond Look for?
- Activity: A HP must be active and comply with Beasts of Beyond's activity rules on-site to lead properly. Not only this, but an active HP attracts other characters and brings a welcoming environment. Review the activity requirements (leaders only) here within the guide tab for more information.
- Character: Characters with a compelling concept, rather than a bland Mary Sue, can give a clan a whole new vibe.
- Open-Minded: Having an open heart and mind is key to roleplay. With this, a user and their character can easily adapt through situations and embrace new ideas. Whether these ideas come from staff or many users, we want to see the community thrive due to the input and output of our members.
- Plotting: To keep things 'fresh' and 'new,' HPs should engage in a multitude of plotting. This includes plotting with other groups, attending monthly meetings, and discussing plots amongst your group. Group-wide plots, along with site-wide plots, also encourage activity and involvement that keeps a community going.
- Taking Charge: As a community HP, you should be able to effectively communicate and decipher your group's needs. This includes independently hosting events and recognizing the downfalls/how to improve the group as a whole.
- OOC Connection: Communicating out of roleplay is also a big factor. This not only allows the characters to get their IC opinion in, but also the true opinion of the OOC users themselves. Along with this, chatting can lead to interesting plots or opportunities for you and your group.
- Experience: While not required, HP or IC experience would be preferable. This allows staff to oversee past experience and analyze your capabilities. Nonetheless, new applicants are very much welcomed!

CLOVE X BLACKJACK
THE STORY
Truth be told, not much had ever existed between Blackjack and Clove. The two had discovered an interest in one another and spent an evening together, but beyond a mere fling, they hadn't quite envisioned a true relationship with anyone at the time, much less with each other. Some time after their one-night stand, Clove discovered that they were pregnant and informed Blackjack, who agreed to protect the children and assist Clove with raising them in the Pitt. Though the two weren't involved prior to the litter, the newfound burden of parenthood on their shoulders may bring them closer than they have imagined.

Blackjack also saw an opportunity with the arrival of a new litter. Not only would these new bloods help the Pitt flourish, he also sees a future for them as bounty hunters much like himself, though this is a path that is uncertain for the children as of now.

The parents, though not previously keen on having children, are still nonetheless set on keeping the cubs safe and protected and will do whatever it takes to provide for them.
GENETICS
These kids will be jaguar-lion (jaguon) hybrids as a result of their jaguon parent and jaguar father. Genetics won't be very strict, but it is preferred that the cubs take after their parents in some way. The cubs can also take on their parents' mutations, such as Clove's heterochromia and mane mutation and Blackjack's reptile tongue and horns.

Clove is a nonbinary jaguar-lion hybrid. They stand tall and strong, bearing a dark red pelt that lightens to a paler color on their limbs and on their muzzle. They have a dark nose and heterochromatic red-orange eyes, and their pelt is adorned with pale markings. A lighter red mutated mane rests upon their head and snakes down on their back to their twin tails. [ref]

Blackjack Venturo is a male North American jaguar. He is a muscular beast with an obsidian-black pelt and slightly lighter gray jaguar spotting. An even lighter gray (though still fairly dark) trails up his chest and onto his chin. He seems to come from a mutated lineage, sporting dark brown-gray ram's horns and a reptilian tongue. He bears gold eyes and a dark nose. [ref]

lucifer was created in 'heaven' and was the top tier of the angels. he was cast out upon his defiance of gods wishes. being labeled disrespectful and defiant for questioning gods love for the lesser creatures and not them. he could not stand being second best to mortals and viewed angels as perfection. after he was cast out ages ago, he took a mortal form over his angel form. staying this way and learning more about the mortals. until he realized he liked them. having married, though she died shortly after. over time, he started to forget his past over time, yet he was soon remined by his 'siblings'.
