She had no mental compass whatsoever. Sometimes she found herself getting lost in her own clan's territory, only to realize she wasn't that far from the Observatory. Still, she didn't mind much. She liked adventure, to experience new things. What better way to do those two things? Still, sometimes it was scary, especially when she found herself far away.
Like now, tiny paws carrying her in whatever direction in an effort to find her way home, lost among the tall trees. She felt so small, dwarfed by everything. It was frightening, being only a small child. Well, she was technically an apprentice, but her mindset was still one of a kit. She was naive, a trait that would get her into trouble.
Eventually her paws began to ache, and Isabelle begrudgingly took a seat against a large rock. She sat with a huff, defeated and a little scared. What if she never found her way back? What would happen then? She hoped her brother wouldn't get too worried. He had a bit of an overprotective streak, and a bad temper to match. Either way, they would definitely notice her absence. She was already prepared for a lecture when she got back. If she got back.
