Bee yawned as she leaned closer to the bonfire. It was the brink of twilight. The stars were just starting to show. If there was any reason to live here, it was the stars. They were so bright next to in the city. They seemed like a map or a city. They twinkled and shined, giving off a positive aura as they reflected off of her blue eyes. Bee hummed, turning her head up to the astral lights. She loved the night. It was so much better than the daytime when the sun was in your eyes and all types of animals were screaming about.

The cat yawned, shutting her eyes for a few moments before pawing beside her. She took hold of a bag of marshmallows and a skewer. She lanced one of the fluffy white treats before holding it over the fire. There was nothing better than roasted marshmallows and a night sky. It was one of her favorite past times on this island. Something calm that she could do that was still outdoorsy. It was nice.

      This was nice.

Flames were not a particularly familiar force in the desert; while there were the occasional brush fires in the few regions that carried vegetation, sand was obviously not flammable. The pack had had no use for it, either, as it was too unwieldy to use as a weapon and too risky to use for cooking.

Despite (or perhaps because of) that, Paper found himself enticed by the bright glow of the bonfire and the subdued smell of smoking wood. Coming to a stop a few feet away from both the fire and the lounging Bee, the jackal watched the flickering flames with curiosity. The other creatures had actually figured out how to harness fire, it seemed- impressive.

Breaking his gaze away from the light, he eyed the bag of strange white cubes. Bee was eating them without a care in the world, but he had no idea how the capability of her stomach would compare to his- just because a cat could safely eat something didn't mean a jackal could as well. "Uh, what are those?" Paper asked, lifting a paw and pointing it at the bag.

MANICURES AND PEDICURES, I'M ALWAYS TIP TOP
When it came to sweets, she was not sure what to say, just like with Papercutter and Bee before her. They were both unfamiliar to her. She wasn't sure how to approach the situation. Though, that didn't keep her away. Instead, she kept calm and cool and sauntered over. She approached the bonfire willingly with a welcoming facade and a warm smile upon her muzzle. Momentarily, her head tilted off to the side though, gaze narrowing at the skewer. "What an interesting contraption for such a small task," she mentioned with a sarcastic tone. "Not like we could use a stick or something..."

Her gaze lifted away from the skewer and moved onto Bee, offering a small dip of her head as she did so. "What's your name, sweetie?" the caracal asked politely. "Mine is Guru if that proves any importance to you, which it very much should." As always, she was full of herself...
