the mikaelson family was established in 2015 by elijah mikaelson and emilia mikaelson. composed initially of the original vampire family, the family name has been in use close to 1000 years and has spread quite dramatically. the family was disbanded due to inactivity but margaery, the daughter of niklaus and caroline mikaelson, is striving to both redeem her family name and also expand her family by inviting outsiders into it.

⚜ RULES
- being a vampire is not mandatory but it is encouraged (note: this definition of vampirism in this context is any character who possesses a digestive mutation that forces them to have a diet completely of blood).
- members can originate from any group but engaging a fight with a family member of an enemy group is frowned upon.
- harming or killing another family member will result in instant disownment.
- any litters had by any member of the mikaelson family should be reported in order to keep track of the family.

⚜ RELATIONS
on bob, margaery mikaelson is a kuiper corporal of the ascendants (hp) and her wife, suiteheart, is the ecliptic admiral (hp). they were related to nearly every significant family on the former site and many members of the original mikaelson family held high positions within their respective clans.

any pre-existing character can join the mikaelson family.
if you would rather adopt a character from birth that is already afflicted with vampirism, there is a current hp-related litter between margaery, the head, and her wife suiteheart. you can find that here

the joining process is simple! usually, it involves your character seeking out margaery with a request to join and her approving such. whether or not your character develops vampirism after that is up to you.
