Tiny time :: learning to fly

Tiny wings flapped as she jumped. Flap. Flap. Flap. She went up for a second then she fell to the bedroom floor. The small child chirping in alarm ad she landed there. Thank God Sherbet's desk was not that tall. Otherwise it might have hurt more.

The child got up and huffed. Wings open and eyes narrowed at the feathers. Still downy and useless, but she did not know this. She was far to young to know that.
