First we gonna rock, then we gonna roll -

the pain was new. she knew that pain was to be expected with pregnancy, but this was new. she was aware that it must be time. her instincts told her to find a dark and secure location. so, she forced herself to waddle home as fast as she could go with the early contractions. stopping to pant from time to time until she was finally on her little pelt matt she called a bed.

the woman, felt ripples of pain crashing through her and she held back cries of pain. powering through it as best she could alone. until, it was all over. at her belly lay six little cubs. all of them tiny and helpless. yet, true to form, she felt nothing. lowering her head, she would sniff the little forms and lick them. instinct telling her this was the best move. yet, she felt little attachment.

the woman lifted her head as she tried to think of names for the batch of cubs at her belly. hmm.. corpse, nightshade, kyros, mordred, maggotsdream, and.. you i do not have a name for yet. she looked the last littel cub over and shrugged. it was not like she had to worry about it right now.

There was a variable amount of shame that the litter would surely feel, knowing that their father had left and that their mother would never truly love them. But even before Mordred made a squeak, his little body was wracked with gentle noises, that of coughs barely audible. A runty boy, born out of a union of undead beasts, sickly the second he was out of the womb. His mind could not comprehend it yet, but his body acted on natural impulse and tried to squirm toward Livingdead's belly to suckle.

A pitiful child making a pitiful effort. Frail body doing it's best to survive.
