Things had been stressful recently, in between the raids from the Coalition, raising children, and taking care of duties. Things were slowly starting to settle and slow down. She was finally getting time to breath, thankfully, so they could have some time to theirselves. She'd spent the day setting it up, finding someone to watch the kids, getting what she needed for the date settled and prepared. She'd left a note on her fiancee's desk.

It had read, "meet me tonight under the moon on the beach, I'll be waiting. Love you lots, Diya." She'd left it early enough that she new the captain would see it and then spent the last few hours actually setting up.

A large checkered blanket layed spread out across the sand not too far from the water that shone under the full moon. Set on it was a small picnic basked filled with sandwiches for Roxanne and a small ice bucket with a bottle wine and two glasses.

Set nicely beside them was a small ring pox, her own ring sat on a silver chain around her neck. In the ring box sat. Ring of gold, forged to resemble roses, a rose gold chain pooled with it. She'd had it for months, only a few days before the disappearance of Goldie. Then, time had never felt right. And then, Roxanne had surprised Diya on her own. It had been a wonderful day but had left Diya wondering to reveal her own gift. She lifted the box with a paw, observing it for a moment before she set it back down. They would get to that.

For now, she sat on the beach in silence, waiting and hoping that the love of her life would show. It shouldn't be long now.
