Snarl stood stock-still as the wolf explained their rules. Tattered ears pointed right at Bloodhound. The hyena's only movement was the slow spread of a toothy grin, the slow dilation of pupils. This would be fun.

The appearance of the bumblebee(?) shook her out of the pause. Stared at it, for a moment, unsure if that's what she was actually seeing. And it spoke. The hyena's questions were quickly discarded - not the first giant bug she'd seen. If it wanted to fight, she'd damn well fight it. She wasn't one to ask of origins, anyways.
As soon as Bloodhound finished their dye demonstration, the Hyena was off. Snorted at the idea - If this was done right, blood would be all the marker one needs. Whatever. Nabbed a bowl of bright orange, smeared it over feet and mouth and teeth. Huffed to get excess out of her nose, smeared excess onto her shoulders.
Snarl Snorted at Ivan's comment. Two for two. Maybe this is a kid she could actually stand, wouldn't that be something? Spoke without looking up from her smearing project, not caring how it made her fur stick.
"We'll see, kid, we'll see. Valja, think you'll find mosta us here are apex predators. Don't go thinkin' y' so special."

As ready as she'd ever be, the hyena stood, sizing up her competition.

Bloodhound was fair sized, and she ought be cautious of those antlers. They were blunted, not like the goa she was familiar with, but Snarl had more common sense than to dismiss their potential. Not to mention sharp teeth - they might be smaller than what she was used to, but they were still a wolf.
Leroy was a dog. Big, sure, but not that much bigger than her. All leg, at that. But he was probably fast. She'd seen firsthand how high he could jump, and that he could hold on for a good while to the bug just by his bite. Not to mention - the dog seemed scrappy, in every sense of the word. Assume he wouldn't be above 'underhanded' tactics.
The hyena didn't spare much thought to the Cipher. A cat's a cat. Small one, at that. All leg, and the hyena wasn't even aware of his injury. She could step on him, and he'd die, she was sure. One good bite and it'd all be over. If he cared to show the hyena otherwise, she'd be all for it.
And the bee..... Snarl wasn't even sure where to start with them. Did it have a stinger? Normally, she'd go for the eyes, but she wasn't sure if they'd crumple immediately. Probably wouldn't be appreciated to blind a member(?) immediately, especially with the leader right there.

"So, Who wants t'go? Or are y'waitin' for assignments?"

So essentially they were marking themselves with warpaint, huh? Made sense, and it vaguely reminded Vigenere of his time in the King's Guard - and when he and Caesar used to play around with grounded-up berries, pretending they were apart of the Guard and what they wore was warpaint. A bittersweet memory, if you will. But one that was unwelcome; Vigenere mentally shook the memory off. Caesar is no longer like that. Obviously. Besides, this was Earth and his home was gone - when was he going to stop living in the past?

Vigenere heard Ivan's comment, but paid no mind to it. One of his ears flicked to show he heard it - and wasn't particularly amused by it, either. But of course, maybe that was his ego talking. Being a veteran didn't mean jack shit here, did it? Especially if he has been so out of practice. While in his thoughts, Vigenere smeared red paint over his fur - once again, being subconsciously reminded of how he and Caesar had done so with berries.

Snarl's taunt amused Vigenere though, to say the least. Despite the demon not particularly liking her that well (her personality reminded him of Caesar), he had to agree with her on that. If this were a real war, there was no use in waiting to choose your opponent - or risk being killed if you do. Without another thought, Vigenere dashed forward - (or well, as much as he could with a limp right now, that is) - and dropped to the ground as he neared [member=8853]SNARL[/member] , trying to skid underneath her. If he was successful, the savannah would try to kick up at her stomach.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow]

A large.... bee? Dragon? Approached, a curious thing. Saying that she would also participate. Bloodhound bows their head to her in greeting, very interested in seeing how she would handle herself.

Ivan arrived as well, moving to sit by the Doctor. Bloodhound took this as an indication of nonparticipation, and still quietly welcomed him. They were gathering quite the crowd, it seemed. The wolf could clearly hear Ivan betting on Snarl winning, on Vigenere's loss. They found their gaze travelling to the Cipher in question, curious. Surely, he wouldn't have elected to join had he no tricks of his own. Each of the fighters before them seemed to have their own strengths and merits. They would be sure to keep an eye on each of them.

They did not miss Caustic's comment, feeling blood rush to their ears. It is a shame, they think, that the two of them could not yet show Tanglewood what they were capable of. To see what these new bodies were capable of. But of course.... No one needed to die today.

They agreed with Snarl, most of those here were apex predators. But they knew, just as well as Caustic did, that he had been speaking of a different breed. A different breed in a foreign body, one they had not yet pushed to its limits.

"Let us not cast judgement here. Appearances can easily deceive." They add, looking around at each of the animals that had gathered. They cocked their head as Leroy piped up, assuming that at least part of it was a joke. Nonetheless, they could find the humor in imagining such a massive hound using Kung Fu.

Bloodhound found themself agreeing with Snarl once more. In a real fight, one did not have the chance to choose which enemy they were going to attack. In most cases, you were doing well, so long as your teammates were not caught between you and your target. It is not long after, that Vigenere made his choice, doing his best to charge toward Snarl. Bloodhound steps backward, to give the both of them space, impressed with Vigenere's ferocity, even when seemingly favouring a limb. Had he been injured previously?

Bloodhound would turn then, their eyes locking onto Leroy. They would rush at the larger canine, using their shorter height to their advantage. They would jump up when they got close to his chest, in an attempt to headbutt [member=1538]leroy[/member] in the chin. They knew he could very quickly bowl them over with his weight and size, so it was best they seek the upperhand, and quickly.

OOC: quick edit because i realized that everyone just watching two ppl fight is boring, so have at it y'all
