The moon shone brightly above, reflecting itself against the constant motioning of the ocean tide, beckoning its visitors to grace its presence by submerging themselves inside its rushing embrace. The restless water crashed against the nearby shore, granting the beaches its thunderous roar of white noise. Stars dotted the skies above, their light striking the earth from billions of miles away as they breathed their last breath some hundreds of years ago.

Alpha tread the long railroad path lonesomely, quietly, his eyes not breaking contact with the shallow bed beneath him, cream paws dipping into-and-out-of the lukewarm pool beneath him as he made his way towards whatever path it would lead him towards. It's not like he had much choice, anyway. He had nowhere to go at this point, so being constantly on the move was his only option so as to not be attacked -- or be forced to attack any adversary around him. He wanted to keep a low profile after destroying what remained of the VIRM laboratory.

Betrayal. That was the only thing that clouded his mind. Why did VIRM treat him like worthless scum after everything they did for him? They threw him out to die -- literally -- and forgot about him. To Alpha, that was unforgivable, of course -- why else would he have destroyed the facility singlehandedly? He could feel the gaze of the other Nines watching him from wherever their souls remained: Beta. Delta. Gamma. He could still feel their presence as if he were still in his holding cell, trading jokes and sparring at each given opportunity.

He smiled smugly, and spoke under his breath. "Heh. How disgusting."

The thought of him "caring" about the other Nines sickened him. The only one who had any sort of raw emotions was Nine Iota -- what scum she was. Somehow, in some way, Alpha felt as if VIRM's betrayal towards him was linked to his former inmate. She'll pay, too, in due time.

His paws continued dipping into the water as he approached the gate, quite confused as to what he landed upon. A gate...? But for what? Tasting the air, he caught the scent of several... others nearby. Stay sharp, 9A. If they're hostile towards you, you're toast. He approached the gate as silently as he had traveled the path, crossing the threshold into the new territory.

Pincher had shit to do. Specifically he didn't want to do. He had been spat out by the ocean and for what? Well, only now was he able to figure out why. He was meant to be some sort of fucking hunter for gods that demanded attention, their greed never satisfied. So Pincher had left the island in the dead of the night, swimming silently against the heavy waves to go search for victims that were not in the island. The canine's ink black figure blended well into the darkness as he continued on his hunt, jaws splattered with crimson blood. He had already taken a life that night and was preparing to take another. How many did these bastards desire? When would they be satisfied? Pincher's questions were offered but the gods remained silent as well as the voices, clearly not caring what Pincher thought about the situation. He was growing tired of the absense of voices, his gills opening and closing repeatedly as he swam through after traveling. As he grew closer, he managed to catch a scent that was not familiar and certainly not from the sea. His pepper black nostrils flared, spraying softly seamist into the air before diving into the water and swimming to where the other male was located at.

As he reached the railroad tracks, he broke once again through the murky ocean surface, his icy glacier blue eyes locking onto the cream-colored feline that awaited at the gate of the Typhoon's land before entering. Pincher stalked slowly out of the ocean to follow after the smaller male, velvety ears beginning to fold back in a state of suspicion of who this could be. Some stranger looking for trouble to spark controversy or was it some Tanglewood fucker that craved the attention of irritated sleep-deprived enemies. His long forked tongue slipped out of his jaws in frustration as he quickened his pace until he managed to cross the gate, his figure soaked and glinting from the pale silver rays of the bone white moon. "Oi. Who the hell are you and what are you doing coming into Typhoon territory?" Pincher called out, rumbling deep voice traced with warning as the lithe streamlined doberman went to trot past Alpha and block the tom's path to going any deeper into the rich tropical territory that slowly swayed in the lazy winds of the night. His glowing gaze narrowed as he stared down at Alpha, awaiting a response from the stranger that had found the island in the darkness.

Facing the doberman that had blocked his path, Alpha was met with a spine-tingling gaze from the other creature facing him. However, he wasn't afraid of the doberman, he was only suddenly alerted by his appearance in the darkness of the night with only the moon and the stars to illuminate his path. He could feel his blood pump through his veins again.

"I'm glad you asked. My name is 9A. Please, call me Alpha. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

His plasma horns glowed against his face, embellishing his visage with a menacing orange glow. No need to be hostile to whoever this is. It wouldn't be very grand to have to shed blood here. Tasting the air, he realized the doberman had the scent similar to the ones coming from the gate's entrance. He smirked slowly, his friendly facade taking form over his thoughts as he began to speak to Pincher, his heavy posh accent echoing across the night sky.

"Say, you must be from this... what did you call it... Typhoon? I apologize for trespassing onto your territory ... I'm looking for a place to stay. You see, my old home was destroyed. Tragic, right?" He tilted his head, still holding his blank-faced smirk, dull-emerald eyes shining in the moonlight. Indeed it was, for them, at least. His talons scraped the moist sandbar beneath him, itching to kill anything that moved. "I'm looking for a place to get 'back up on my feet,' so to speak, and your little Typhoon here happened to be just the perfect spot. What gorgeous atmosphere." As gorgeous as the night sky would allow him to see.

Alpha had no interest in making friends.

"I'd be a valuable asset to whatever defenses you need. I'm the best..." He hesitated, realizing what he had been beginning to say. Easy there, 9A. Don't brag about your skills [b]just yet. Nobody likes a brag.
He cleared his throat, tail lashing about behind him as he changed his wordings in an attempt to seem humble. "I'm quite skilled in combat, yet I still have a lot of learning to do." Learning about combat. Disgusting. It's as if he wasn't born to do it. What choice did he have, though? If anything, a few good sparring sessions will get his blood pumping and give him a decent high off of the battle. "If you'll have me, I'd be an excellent addition to your clan."

There were times like this that Pincher really wished he had stayed at home with Goldie especially because he was aware how nervous his daughter appeared when she was not there for her to spot. He could understand her point of view, due to the trauma of seeing her father's corpse. So he didn't want to stay out too long but sadly he was forced into slipping into the night to head for the blood of any victims that weren't from the Typhoon. Luckily, he had managed to explain to the shrieking wails inside his head that he would not injure or murder any of his crewmates so they would have to deal with him going out into other territories and taking lives there. It tired him and brought guilt because Pincher was not fond of becoming a hitman, especially to do the bidding of magical forces that he could not even see.

His cool glowing aqua blue eyes widened ever so slightly, tar black pupils locked onto the plasma horns that now caused the pale emerald gaze of the stranger to glow. What the hell? He kept a calm expression stitched to his face though his upper lip slightly curled to reveal shark-like teeth ready to tear if Alpha was here to seek chaos in the volcanic island. Yet he seemed to introduce himself in a way that allowed Pincher to slowly relax from his jumpy paranoia of possible threats. A9? He raised a fictional eyebrow, quirking up with confusion. "A9? Sounds like a name you give an experiment." He wasn't dumb. There were creatures that were products of twisted science by humans or other creatures, he had met some before but not enough to truly understand what their purpose was. Some continued their missions while others decided to define themselves and not struggle with the burden of being considered something that they had never asked to become. His head tipped to the side, long silver rays of the moon outlining his face as he heard the name. Alpha. And then the smaller figure began to question where he was causing an amused glint to spark in his vibrant gaze. "Sound tragic indeed, sorry that happened to ya. But if you do need a place then I guess the Typhoon would be good. Like you said, you intend to pull your weight around here so I better see that, Alfie. By the way, name's Pincher. I'm the captain of the Typhoon aka the fucker in charge of you fucks." He rumbled, giving a faint tip of his head towards the slender male but before he could speak more about how things were done, he felt slight movement and glanced down.

Cronas. The young Striker was certainly a specimen of curiosity for Pincher. He didn't seem like what generic kids were considered as. He didn't seem to have much emotions or perhaps lacked in showing them. However, his attention briefly focused on the powder gray child as Pincher's vibrant gaze narrowed to slits as he breathed "Cronas, the hell are you doing out here?" He hoped the child had not stumbled upon anything dangerous and it seemed luck was on his side because the child did not appear injured nor disturbed. Allowing his tense figure to slowly loosen his muscles beneath his sleek onyx colored pelt, Pincher's gaze snapped back towards Alpha as he tipped his head towards Cronas as he added "This is Cronas by the way." He wondered how these two oddities would interact.

she didn't sleep anymore. her papa's returned did relieve her - it really did. she already felt much better with him around. but, she didn't sleep. she had to make sure that it wouldn't happen again. she could have stopped it. she knows she could have. she had been right next to him. so, she only pretended to sleep, to make him happy. and then, when she noticed he left, she would wait quietly. she felt worried, but she wouldn't move yet. perhaps he would come back inside soon.

but, when he didn't, she allowed herself to get up slowly and move around. she sniffed around, trying to figure out where he had gone. it was unlikely that he was in danger, but she still couldn't help but worry. she couldn't have this happen again. she certainly didn't want him to be alone, at least. so, the girl made her way around the dark territory quietly, actually kind of enjoying it more. it didn't hurt her head so bad. she was able to locate her papa when she heard a few voices, one of which she did not recognize, and the other belonging to the man himself. she moved herself towards them as she spotted cronas first, wondering what an apparent joiner was doing out so late.

the injured kitten stepped up next to her papa, leaning against him gently to make him aware of her presence. she was glad he's okay. and not alone, either, as cronas was here. she looked to the stranger curiously, her green eyes glowing in the dark. "welcome to the crew," she'd say softly to the joiner. she wondered how he got the name A9. that was certainly different. "i'm goldie. it's nice to meet ya!" she introduced next, her voice friendly. "sorry to hear about your home, i couldn't ever imagine that happening."

[abbr=2 years old, winged siamese cat with heterochromia, has a saltwater crocodile named kalayavan, baby crush on greed, sister to pincher & rosemary, the cannibal queen]✧*:・゚[/abbr] She eventually flew over landing on top of Pincher and putting her forepaws on his head with a large smile on her maw. Huh, freshmeat for the crew? That was always nice, having a new member to tease around and mess with. The chocolate point twitched her whiskers for a moment taking a good gander at Alpha only to say with a wave of her paw "Welcome to the crew, Alfalfa." Her paw eventually came to rest on Pinch's head before she swatted one of his ears playfully introducing herself with a Cheshire cat smile "The names Roxie." She hadn't brought Kal over.

    // WOWZERS this post is hella late sorry ;v;

The cream-colored feline had suddenly been surrounded by clan members, each with their own story, their own lives, and their own fears. Pincher, the one who greeted him into the clan, had scanned Alpha suspiciously, specifically his horns, seemingly onto his malicious schemes. Luckily, his pokerface was as his good as his prowess in battle. Listening to what the doberman had to say about his name kept his smug grin, eyes locked onto Pincher's as he revealed some more information on who exactly he was.

"You'd be right about the experiment part. I'm no ordinary specimen you see. I was created in a laboratory to fight, and fight I will, if need be." His tail continued to flick to-and-fro, becoming a bit impatient with the crew. "My -- ah, how would you put it -- [b]clones, you see... They were all killed. Quite gruesomely, at that. I'm the only one remaining.
" In an attempt to seem at least a tad bit sympathetic, a frown cast across his face, quickly becoming a grin again as he began to spoke once more. "And pull my weight I will. Only the best for my new..." He hesitated. Did he really have to say this? The thought of it made his stomach churn. "... family."

There, he said it. Hard part was over, right?

He was then met with the words "Alfie" and "Alfalfa" in an attempt to refer to him differently than usual. He growled slightly, then recoiled, acting as if he were only clearing his throat. If they intend to mock me, I will end this here.

He then had another thought. Not yet. Again, he did not want to attack them if he didn't need to, as they'd be of use to him in one way or another.

"It is a pleasure to become a member of your crew."
