plexus Kingsford isn't the most...social. he knows this very well considering his massive anxiety, he can barely attend meetings without wanting to sink into the earth. But, he wanted to host a fun thing, something to bring everyone a bit closer since so many things have been tense lately. His mask sitting in the corner of the residence, the male bustled about setting up many kinds of tables and smaller fire pits. His tail twitching violently as he rushed around, cursing how he didn't know if he had enough glasses, enough plates, enough wood for the pits, he cursed how he couldn't slow down enough to breath, he couldn-

[tt]CRASH[/tt]

A glass shattered as Plexus' muscles finally lashed back out at him after he's been so tense and locking up, his green eyes wild as he backed up with a strangled whine. His heart racing as he knew he didn't have much time left, 'it wasn't supposed to be so stressful!' he cried in his head, paws trembling as he used his tail to sweep the glass shards out of the way. Plexus numbly got back to work on finishing up, his eyes unfocused as he made finishing touches. With a deep breath, he wavered on putting his mask back on before he began brewing tea to settle his nerves. The sweet smell of lavender filled the Guru's home as he took another trembling breath, and would do his best to greet everyone who showed up.

He couldn't do this.

she was doing her best to not break down. to not fall apart. she was doing her best to be strong for her family and friends. but, with her family reunion and then the loss of solsken. well, it was easy to see that zuriela was not eating like she should. that her eyes were red from crying. she could not hide that much.

yet, she forced on a smile as she made her way into the home of plexus. ears twitching as she looked about. it smelled lovely here, and if she had been older, she would have brought food herself. turning her eyes to plexus, she would try her best to speak without breaking her fake happy facade.

hey.. this looks lovely.. her typical soft voice cracked only once in that. totally nailed it.

MEMORIES TURN INTO DAYDREAMS! -- fae borzoi. cotc.

a potluck ... he didn't think he'd ever attended one. asking around the group, jasper would find out that it was acceptable for the attendees to bring with them some form of food. in jasper's case, the fae was skilled in baking and making soups and stews, so he would arrive to the guru's house with a pot of hot soup hanging from his jaws carefully, setting it down where it would be safest. "hello, plexus. it's lovely here. are you doing alright?", he asked softly, understanding his anxieties. turning his head to zuriela, he offered the smaller girl a warm smile, "hey zuri, could i ask for a paw in bringing some buns here?" he asked softly. the loss and grief she felt ... he couldn't fault her for it. a lot had changed so quickly for the girl.

the sudden voice of jasper made her jump and she twisted to face the other. ears twitching forward as he asked for her help. it was better than standing about, so she nodded softly. sure.. she offered with that same forced smile. turning, the pup would head over to help.

The male startled slightly as he heard the younger's voice, green eyes softening, and filling with emotion, he gently murmured, "I appreciate you coming by, you're always welcome here when things get hard." Plexus ran his tail over Zuriela's flank in comfort as she moved to complete the task the other feline gave, and gave thanks to said feline for bringing something.

Turning his attention fully on Jasper, his tail flicking anxiously, the Guru admitted, the words felt like a weakness, "It's been...chaotic." Casting his gaze where the now cleaned shards of glass used to lay, he sighed, "It's harder than I thought to do these kinda things, but with all the things happening, it'll be worth it if someone can relax." Plexus pivoted to head to the stores for his collection of tea leaves, then paused and turned slightly to eye Jasper thoughtfully, "What kind of tea do you like?"
