”And here I thought I was the Clan pet. Glad to see tiny tot’s of use.” She rumbles easily, having been previously keeping herself hidden within the mud and sludge of the swamp’s waters, waiting for food to come by much like the alligators she was learning to traverse around. The blind and partially paralyzed Alpha pulls herself out of the water, shaking her head enough to get the mud off her neck.

”And you’re not all that tolerant of children.” Malkyn approaches on hesistant paws, her pounding in her chest. Mortem. Mortem. It’s a common name, she tries to rationalize, ignoring the possibility because she isn’t safe- she isn’t when she’s near and it makes her gut twist painfully. When Malphas continues in his jeering at children, the 5 foot hound just literally walks right over him, ignoring that she very well knows where he is, her hips and back legs giving out just a little. If she hit him, she hit him. If not, too bad.

”Seems a good vacation spot to me. Besides, as far as I’m aware, groups don’t typically send their children out to do political business.” They didn’t even sound old enough to be apprentices, much less out in foreign territory- the most dangerous if she wasn’t mistaken. Then again, she is blind and is going off of the shadows she gets in response to the clicking.

Her lungs constrict slightly, fighting the deflating energy in her body language at the four children standing nearby. Gently, she touches her bond to Talia, a quiet ‘come see’ filtering through them. She’s unaware that they’ll turn out to be family, but regardless of the fact, she still feels the exhaustion and the weight of losing her own kids standing on her shoulders. The grief that sinks its claws into her heart and pulls her down has the mud covered hellhound hesitating on getting any closer. ”I’m Malkyn, but you can call me Mal.” She offers, sitting down then. ”Who’re your parents? And who’s the Rosebloods’ leader?”

Amren watched Malphas carefully, those burning silver gaze of hers seemingly igniting with the fire that coursed through her veins. A paw would move - a simple readjustment - to reveal a scorched mark in the wood below, the tiniest of grins twisting a black maw. [b][color=#414a4c]"We came here to talk about the Rosebloods, boy," The black smoke explained shyly, [color=#414a4c]"You're the one that had to be all hostile to a bunch of curious kids." Her comment was extended lazily, the girl now preoccupied by the embers that floated in the air in front of her. She would reach out to generate more, transfixed by the faint orange before heaving another sigh. [color=#414a4c]"Mom wanted us to scout out the groups or something," Amren droned, [color=#414a4c]"Like I said though, you didn't really leave a good taste in my mouth."

Her light gaze would lift from the embers, focusing now on the great beast that rose from the depths of the swamp itself. Malkyn at least seemed tolerant of children, a halfway relieving detail that caused that smile to turn a little more genuine. The rest of her facade was composed with apathy in mind though, not much emotion breaking through her mask of obsidian and smoke. [color=#414a4c]"Our parents?" Echoed the little spitfire, a metaphorical brow arching ever so slightly, [color=#414a4c]"Cain and Sola and Finnishwars." She stated her parentage proudly, chest puffing out. [color=#414a4c]"And Sola, my mother, is the leader." That fact was also a point of pride for the short feline who appeared as if she could go on for hours about her mother and family. In truth, Amren probably could, but she doubted she had the right audience to do so. Blinking faux innocently, the child would giggle, [color=#414a4c]"Why do you ask?"

One of the parents being asked about is currently stalking through the undergrowth, keeping her distance for a few moments, ears swiveling to get a better idea of what's going on. Unknown to her darling children, she's been following them all over the place. A time consuming task that makes her briefly consider getting someone to track them for her. However, she luckily has two advisors back home who can hold down the fort while she's gone on this wild goose chase.

    Suddenly, she's darting out.
Being a cheetah, the leader is quick in her movements, immediately going straight for Malphas. There's no hesitation in her attempt to lunge at the domestic, having size over him if nothing else. Her real goal is to pin him down, even if that includes stepping all over him in the process. With a loud sigh escaping her lips, she comments on what she heard from her time lurking. "Let me correct you on the... probably." Unamused, Sola allows her tail to gently lash behind her, the neutral expression on her face staying steadily. "Enemies. Effective immediately." Despite The Rosebloods not being too keen on allies, she wouldn't want individuals like this around anyways. Truthfully, a lot of her political decisions have been personal, but she wouldn't have it any other way. She needs to like and trust those on her side. So far? Not looking too good, and while she currently pins that on Malphas, when she looks up and over to see Malkyn, she's able to add another reason to the list.

She doesn't react. For a few moments, the wildcat just stares at the hellhound, no feeling showing through in her caramel gaze. She feels uneasy, especially when Mosa makes her claims, but she doesn't say a word. Instead, she carefully leaves her place by Malphas, whether her attack was successful or not. In fact, for now, she attempts to gather her children in one way or another. Having just declared enemies, she wants to keep them close.

"Let me introduce myself, too. Sola." A part of her wants to apologize for instantly deciding on their enemy status, especially when everyone else has been polite, but she doesn't. They can change her mind in the future, she's sure, but based on first impressions, she's going to stubbornly stick with her decision. It's unlikely she'll be trying to attack the group anytime soon, anyways, so it's not as if there's much to worry about.

When she both sees and hears Talia, her ears briefly flatten back against her head. She didn't want this reunion. Not here, not now. There are too many familiar faces, and the uneasy feeling in her stomach only grows, breathing becoming somewhat shaky, but she holds onto the cool look, turning her gaze down to her children. Hers, and Cain's, and Finn's.

She doesn't have anything else to say.

malphas was unprepared for the cheetah knocking over. he yelled in surprise- and fear, quite honestly- and was easily knocked over. suddenly, his chest hurt and he was spent spiraling, nearly dissociating. he had assumed that all this would end peacefully, and they would just write him off as a dick and decide on neutrality or something. but now, he was being pinned down by an animal much larger.

turning, and coughing, he angrily yelled "i told you so!" he then struggled, realizing that this was a fight now. "fuck you, bitch!" he aimed to use his back legs to kick upwards into the cheetah's stomach, claws unsheathed. he wanted to get her off of him, or at least have his clanmates help him.

Somehow this little interaction had become a big interaction and now she wanted to just go home.

Arrow stepped back, allowing the stronger members to take control of the situation, feeling herself get self conscious about her smaller stature yet again. For the time being she decided to observe everything else possible in the area, muttering a small [color=#31b94d]"Because you pissed them off, genius." After Malphas' indignant outburst, although she did smile at Mimosa's story with the dungeon and her compliment. She was so charismatic, it was endearing. [color=#31b94d]"Thanks, kiddo." She was impressed by her endurance, surely a child that could navigate on their own like this deserved an award.

    And then....Sola.

Sola was bigger, stronger, scarier than Arrow had anticipated, and this was after knowing she could have devoured them all. Arrow yelped out a quick "FUCK!" and scrambled back, falling over half way. It was like the nightmare realm just shat out the worst thing it had stored in it's depths and that was Sola. The Mother. She looked over at a struggling Malphas and mouthed "i'm gonna kill you", but deep down did not want the scary lady to mutilate the bitchy nurse.

As Sola lessened her grip on him to pull her kids closer, Arrow attempted to yank Malphas back by the scruff, putting distance between him and the cheetah. It was all she could do, after all, she had no chance up against that. [color=#31b94d]"Well this has been fun, I'll go home and begin writing my will right away."

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:55%;font-size:8pt"]Night lets most of the conflict pass by without a word, as he is like to do. When Amren accuses him of crashing their outing, the black feline sticks out his tongue at her. "I just wanted to see where you were going, I don't think you need looking after at all." They really don't, or at least, if they did Night would not be the one to do it. He's nervous to be here in the first place.

His nerves are not calmed by Malphas, nor by the hounds that appear, nor by the implication that Tanglewood and the Rosebloods were now enemies, said by his mother herself. In fact, the entire thing passes like a blur, but Night definitely begins to shake when he sees Malkyn. To see Mimi handle it as if there's nothing strange about this situation, bad mouthing a strange group of people, Night is the complete opposite. Now he wished he didn't follow at all.

He doesn't come down from the tree, in fact, he starts clinging to the branch tighter. He can get down when they need to go - but not a second sooner. "I... Why do we have to fight..." He mumbles it, looking anywhere but the situation in front of him, grounding himself with looking at his siblings and his mother. This is not good, not good, no. Definitely not.

[div style="margin: 0 auto; width: 55%; font-family: arial; font-size: 11pt; text-align: justify;"]"Three parents? What kind of hinky conception was that?" Aya asked, emerging from the swamp covered in the slime. She'd been barely listening, and frankly wasn't particularly interested in the cheetah or her weird children, but a three-parent litter was really fascinating for her. Not to mention that the kids had wanted to hear about swamp monsters with two mouths - Aya could build that for them. Gods, the only kids with any brains and they were from an enemy group. Nevermind, Aya would just have to take their brains and create her own freaky swamp monster children.

She made her way to Malphas and Arrow, still dripping with mud, hissing to the nurse, "Now look what you've done, Mouthy." Mouth-ass-centipede-hole. Tail twitching, the tortoiseshell's yellow eyes glared up at Sola. "So what's your point in being here? You use your kids as bait and targets and then gotcha groups? Rosewhatever must have absolutely nothing going on if the leader has this kind of time on her paws!" For a moment, Aya was afraid that her mouthing off would cause worse damage than Malphas', but frankly she couldn't see how. "Why don't you go on home to your rose field and we'll settle this on the field like civilised animals." Aya would have to work turbo-fast if she wanted a functional monster by then. Still, she had better things to do.

the adviser groaned inwardly and quickly pushed through the undergrowth, coming out to stand beside his dear friend. enemies already? he sighed, wearing a tight-lipped frown as aya then began to spit insults at them. "you're all quite mouthy, aren't you? all bark and no bite." pres grumbled to himself. his tail twitched in annoyance. if sola had already decided to make enemies with them, then he supposed there was no reason to keep up his politeness.
