evaluating the damage ? breakdown?

WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR,
KNOW WHAT I SEE?
THE ANIMAL IN ME!

Kold, who had been dead for two years, had felt some semblance of innocent hope when she arrived back. A hope that her father and sister would come back for her. But as she waited, and waited, she finally gave up. They would never come back for her and that hurt the woman. She had yet to show it.

The yelling from the Ashen city had drawn her to it. Black eyes watched as the golden beast let out their frustrations. A low huff left her, and when the beast had calmed down somewhat, she stepped forward. "They will never come back. Wish and will it as much as you want, it will do nothing." Cold, harsh truth left her lips as she looked around.

"My family will never come back." She spoke softly, as though reminding herself of this fact. A soft noise left her, a ghost of a sob as she shook her head.
