"Enough."  Perhaps Dante had no concept of digging one's own grave -- ire only increasing by the second.  Perhaps I will throw you to Tanglewood to do with as they please.

"I will tell you what the Pitt stands on, Northwest -- loyalty.  Learn to show some, or never receive it in turn." The faerie tilted his chin; indifferent to insults or the like.  He would not waste his time on the opinion of someone who clearly possessed little sense -- who would rather blame the healer over the obvious circumstances or live in the past of a reckless Pitt.  Gael had a clan to lead and protect.

"You want a display of no mercy, Northwest?  You will receive none, for a lack of loyalty to the Pitt -- your clanmates have no cause to fight with you, when you do not care about them."

"Kold is correct.  Now you returned here after time apart, which means you have some sense of home to this place, but if you do not intend to be a member of the Pitt, then you are no better than a freeloader and will be dismissed.  One way or the other."

"Now, I believe I have made myself crystal clear," he concluded icily.  "And there is still work to be done today; come, Aine.  He can make his decision."
