Imperius like all force sensitives can use the force, however he has a rare talent, Imperius is a FORCEWALKER a force user with the ability to bind force ghosts to oneself to increase their power in the force & the ability to perceive said ghosts, Imperius then the apprentice Alektto underwent this ritual in order to quickly gain power (rather than gain it naturally) in order to stand on equal with the Darth currently out to kill him as he had little time to collect power on his own. Being a forcewalker comes with a disadvantage that the more ghosts you bind the more they can overwhelm you, though Alektto circumvented this by searching out the research of a previous forcewalker in order to be able to subdue the ghosts. (Powers used = CLAIRVOYANCE & ABSORB SOULS).

Like all force users Imperius has the power to move things through TELEKINESIS and like most sith lords, Imperius can channel SITH LIGHTNING as well as naturally breathe LIGHTNING it in his dragon form, channelling sith lightning can exhaust one though considering the hate needed to conjure it and the length of time its used. (Powers used = AIR & LIGHTNING ELEMENT)

Trained as a sith assassin in his prior form means Alektto or rather Imperius now is used to being an agile, damage dealing fighter as well as having abilities more suited to a stealthy assassin - using the force Imperius can CLOAK himself and turn INVISIBLE to the eye, allowing the sith lord to move unseen. (Powers used = INVISIBILITY)

Imperius has use of several mental powers through the force, he has TELEPATHY and MEMORY MANIPULATION - he is thus able to speak to someone in their mind as well as rifle through their memories, he can even trick the more weak minded into following his orders through FORCE PERSUASION although most people tend to label it the JEDI MIND TRICK. (powers used = TELEPATHY & MEMORY MANIPULATION)

Imperius possess THE SIGHT and SUPER SENSES via the force, allowing him to perceive more than the average person - it also much like most force users allows him to sense the force signatures of force sensitives. (powers used = CLAIRVOYANCE)

Imperius like most in his family possesses the ability to SHAPESHIFT, while he only has one current form he can shapeshift too he refuses to utilise it - mostly due to traumatic memories involved in his last use of that particular prior form. An ability he gained from that traumatic time is the ability to take anothers body by force, or in other words POSSESSION but he refuses to do so, preferring rather to reincarnate than subject anyone to what he had to go through when he himself was possessed by the late sith emperor. (powers used = SHAPESHIFTING & POSSESSION)
