Morgan followed close behind Vigenere, who seemed to have quite a bit more energy than he was expecting after their crash landing. The bird that approached them quite clearly had the presence of a non-feral animal, so Morgan turned and spoke to her normally. "Vigenere here is the Ambassador from Tanglewood, and I am its Deputy. We're not here to cause trouble; we're here because Atbash might be in danger." He caught his breath, focusing on heating the water on his pelt and memorizing the aura of the avian before him.
"Please - this really is important. I don't know if there's much else I can say to convince you, but..." He took one of his two pouches and set it down on the ground. "I do have gifts to show our good will." He opened up the bag so its contents were visible. Inside was a mask, a bottle of toxic swamp water, a bundle of Tanglewood's local herbs, and a book, The Great Gatsby. "This water is dangerous; it might be a useful weapon if Snowbound ever needs it. I'd appreciate if Atbash herself picked up these gifts, but I wanted to show that we aren't going to attack anyone."
