One eye slid over to Pincher as she noticed his questionably over the top reaction; there seemed a common theme here, in that he often became overprotective over his children even as he spoiled them with arguably unsafe childcare practices. Now, however, seemed quite the terrible time to berate him for this, so she put a pin in her growing list of childcare concerns she had for her half-brother. For now, her four eyes converged once more on Goldie as she frowned.
"There's no doubt about it, you're going to be okay," Rosemary stated firmly, even as it became obvious Goldie was losing consciousness. However, as soon as Goldie specified that her back felt numb; that's when Rosemary nearly hit the panic button. Her auxiliary eyes snapped to look at the kitten's back to affirm what she already saw; bubbling bursting blisters that looked quite disgusting against the blackened, burned hairs of the young feline's coat. She hadn't noticed this at first; amongst the sea of terrible burns and hair, it was difficult to pinpoint where the worst of it was. Her calm demeanor gave way to a microsecond of fear as she realized Goldie had third degree burns.
Her orange-amber eyes began to glow strongly as she summoned the ocean to assist her, two streams of water spouting from the ocean and racing towards her location. Circling her body, cooling rapidly in the process, she focused as she directed the streams to poor cold water on Goldie's limp body -- with most of it going on her back. She doubted it would do much; the child had been on the beach for hours, cooling down the flesh probably wouldn't do much at this point, but third degree burns made her paranoid. But there was too much to do, and she only had limited resources.
Her voice, quiet and calm, rattled off a quick list of commands. "I need [member=83]Papercutter[/member] and [member=590]CAESAR CIPHER.[/member] to find me something to carry her back with; it needs to be clean and portable, ideally a stretcher of some sort; you'll both be carrying her back. [member=469]coldblue[/member] you're not leaving her side, and give her water if she wakes up," she stated, keeping her cool for the most part. Blood loss and second degree burns were nothing that a good week of sleep couldn't fix. But now it seemed much more dangerous.
Looking over to [member=66]PINCHER[/member] , she told him cryptically, "I need at least five talapias. If we don't have any of those on the island, get me plenty of big boney fish like grouper or red snapper. The quicker the better." Rosemary seemed to be under the belief that everyone knew that fish skins made the best bandages for burn victims; either that, or she didn't consider explanations useful right now.
