Out of all of the things she should've expected, she did not expect Freyja's joyous response to her changing in hue, even being called "beautiful" by the winged fae. Perhaps she had just been trying to be nice to her about her new color, it had to have been quite the weird change to be on the opposite side of the color spectrum one sudden day.

Iota blushed as the tabby came to her, observing her from head to toe. No, she realized, she wasn't just being nice — she genuinely enjoyed her new look, even calling her "pretty" again after already saying she was beautiful. She might have been going on an ego trip, but she did want to hear more compliments from the firebrand — she felt validated when the words came from her. Freyja herself was just as beautiful as her sister; it seemed it ran in the family. No wonder she was so flustered to hear her speak of her in such a way. Slightly embarrassed and very flattered, she began to spoke to her friend. "Hah ... I'm so glad you think so, Freyja. Always a delight to hear such words come from you." She gave her a light smile, lips curling up in delight and tilting her head as her face glowed a darker hue of blue from the embarrassment of it all. "As for Malphas, I don't really care what he has to say either way." She chuckled. "Thank you, though, it really does mean a lot. I just fear what your sister'd have to say about it."

She thought about that for a moment. She knew Nayru had quite the attraction for her for a while now; Iota could read her like a book. However... why? Was it her odd-yet-strangely-alluring coloring? Her pink fur was no longer, so the thought of that sent a chill down her spine. She hoped that she'd be accepted into the sawbone's heart after turning a frosty blue.
