punches myself for replying to this so late

whale sharks were actually probably her favorite animal, with dolphins and humpback whales pretty close behind. there were so big and pretty, and they were like sharks, which she absolutely loved. but, the problem with sharks was that they were pretty aggressive carnivores, which is why she would prefer a dolphin or a whale to them. however, whale sharks weren't really aggressive. they just ate plankton, like humpback whales would. they were big friends in her eyes, so when she saw rox with a little one at the shore, she practically leaped with joy. a little friend! the girl got closer in a very excited manner.

"it's a whale shark!" she exclaimed happily. no shit, sherlock. her tail waved back and forth giddily and she observed it from the shore with curiosity. she wanted to reach out and touch it, but she knew better. it was still technically a wild animal - or at least, more "wild" than her crewmates - and she wouldn't appreciate it too much if some stranger reached out and randomly started petting her. "it's so pretty..."
