The vampiric wolf could have chased the stranger off. Killed them, drained them of their blood and left their withered body for the birds. He really should have. It was his intent as he stalked Ambrosia, body low in the grasses just enough for him not to be seen easily. He stopped as the african wild dog rolled around, and he stopped to consider the fact that this stranger was someone who lived in the Band. How had he not seen them before?
