Jerseyboy never got involved in politics. Did he give a shit about foreign relations and conflicts and that stuff? No. He told himself long ago that he wouldn't pledge his loyalty to a group; he would only remain loyal to people themselves. Those who gave their lives for a group of people that they didn't even know were stupid, at least in his opinion. He came and went as he pleased, just as he had with Tanglewood. It had been a long time since he had stepped foot on the swampy lands, and trust him, he wasn't going to stick around for long. This place reeked, and this was coming from a street cat who had dumpster-dove for his dinner.

He had offered to give out an invitation, though. Why not use this as an excuse to get out of the territory for a while? Plus, the more the merrier. It wasn't often that the Ascendants kicked back and partied, so he was willing to help make this a rager. Once the tuxedo tom arrived at the Tanglewood border, he spoke up to the first person he saw, "Ey, you're invited to the Ascendants' Christmas party or whateva'." Not very formal, was he?

He wasn't too fond of the research he had to do for this stuff, partly a holdover from the hellish amount of papers he'd have to read through before diplomatic stuff. Luckily, it wasn't too hard in this case. It was just .. politics. Like alliances. He didn't know the specific scents of the places, but whatever the hell.
The Ascendants wasn't an ally as far as he was aware, but they weren't an enemy, either. Which, inviting neutrals to stuff made sense. Kept you on good standing and all that. Especially cause this was, y'know, Christmas. Jim regards the exceedingly casual tuxedo somewhat lazily. Then, crookedly, the wolfdog grins, stretching wide along his maw. "'Or whatever?' Comforting," He says, though his tone is light. Jim considers this invitation for a moment -- as Guardsman, he had permission to accept, right? Well, it didn't really matter to Jim if he was right or wrong anyways. He tilts his head for a moment, then nods. "Sure, why not. I'll let people know," The mud-covered wolfdog tries to shrug. He's not particularly sure if he's successful, considering how difficult it was to translate human motions to this fucking ... dog, even if people understood. Well, in any case, he just hopes the hike up to wherever the fuck the Ascendants is turns out to be worth it.

"Well merry fuckin' Christmas, starboys." There was nothing wrong with being maybe too casual with a formal invitation, the need to be as professional as one could possibly get was boring. Ya know? Granted, speaking like that might have gotten you on the wrong side of someone who would whip your ass for being disrespectful. But that would not be found here, no sir. "Bet'll be a real blast."
