His head ached something fierce, he couldn't even blame it on alcohol or weed this time. His green eyes blurred as he slammed his paw down on his blueprints he was working on, a snarl on his maw, "For fucks' sake!" His tail lashed as he considered just clawing the damn paper to shreds, but he grumbled instead and carefully smoothed the paper back out. He was hired by someone in the group to build a little artistic hut, and he was struggling to make it functionally work. He knew he could do, he knew he could, but his tired and angry brain just spewed that he couldn't even make simple blueprints. He couldn't do what he was good at.

Sherbet decided to roll the prints up, stick them in a small pouch (he wonders if it is closer to a backpack, then decides it doesn't matter), and he began to the trek out of his home and down to a little cove he found that reminds him of his old home. He meandered along, just in case, someone decided to go with him, or follow him.

He knew he was lonely, he knew.

she wasn't there when her father was drinking but she could surely smell it in the morning. she woke up groggily to hear him curse - he wasn't in the house, thank god, but she struggled out of bed to follow his scent. it made her gag but she was worried about her father. "dad? are you okay?"

Slowly to a trot, Sherbet's tail raised (he was always happy to see his kits, he loved them so much) as he carefully answered, "I'll fine, mint leaf, just stressed about my current job." The tabby turned and nudged the younger, a teasing note in his voice, "Why don't we play chase? If you catch me before we reach the cove, I'll do whatever you want, within reason." Spinning around, Sherbet crouched down like a dog asking to play, his eyes sparkling despite his stress headache pounding away.

she liked the nickname mint leaf, and beamed up at him in hopes her energy would transfer to him and make him happier. "you can talk to me about anything, dad!" she puffed up her chest in attempts to seem older, stronger, than she actually was, and paraded around waving her tail with her head held high. he nudged her, catching her attention, and offered to play tag. she could do that, she liked playing tag! he crouched down in front of her, and she did the same thing, a small smile on her maw. "you know that's unfair, my legs are much shorter than yours!" she complained, looking dejected, before hopping up and attempting to bat him on the nose. sneak attack!
