1950s
In the heights of the 1950s lived an abusive man in the south of the United States with his family. To many, it seemed like the perfect family. Simple, loving, and brilliant minded people. When they went home to be alone, things changed. The man started to be abusive. He burnt his wife with cigarettes, fought with her countless times, and caused his only child to hold the weight of the stress, along with the family, on his shoulders. The country man's rage was unstoppable to the family. There had been many times the two other members had tried to escape, but they always ended up being caught and taken out to the stables to be put down for awhile.
There was one unstable night after another for many years. Though, one of those lonely nights stood out in particular. Rambeau had settled down for a simple showing of 'I Love Lucy' on his colorless TV with the wife by his side and his eight year old cradled in his arms. A cigarette laid in his mouth as he watched along. To this day, he could remember the words that fumbled out of her mouth before skipping to the commercial that changed his life. Though, the commercial was something even more vivid.
In persuasive cursive red lettering read 'Silk Stalkings.' He shot up from his seat, cigarette dropping onto the couch as he boomed out in his thick country accent. Rambeau boasted on about how he should go to the play with the two of them, but the two did not agree. This caused him to grow frustrated. For once, he wanted to do something pleasurable with his family, but they didn't? How dare they do such a thing. After engaging in a fight with his wife, he ran out the door and slammed it behind him, heading out to the nearest liquor store to stock up.
When he returned, his home was on flames. Rambeau fell to his knees. From there, it was all a haze and every surrounding of his had been tuned out except for the single thought that loomed in his mind. 'What could have I done better?'
Rambeau committed suicide. As expected, he descended to hell and became one of Satan's own demons. The only thing he knew is that he could never do the same thing ever again. Rambeau would seek justice for those who followed in his previous steps and damn them just like he was in hopes that they too would learn their lesson. Even if he had to use any means possible. From there, it was all a classic casino gamble.
