social question: do you read meeting threads?

A private conversation with a friend got me curious. How many people actually read meeting threads? Cuz i'll admit, I'm guilty of just scrolling down until i see promotions and moving on with my life. I try not to do that, but sometimes I find myself doing it more often then not. I never even noticed it until i thought about it. I'm wondering how many people also do it, intentional or not.

Ps: I'm pretty sure this is 100% anonymous and I wont hold, and hopefully no one else will either, anything against you if you want to share your thoughts on the subject.

Honestly, I do. I feel as if the tl;dr at the end is often redundant and doesn't offer important details like the meeting does.

i personally do! i mean i make meetings now and i enjoy doing it bc every week, i'm able to show through pinch's actions what he's feeling and behaving while making announcements. its nice to see leaders/deputies putting effort in their writing even when its just the task they do every weekly or biweekly. i just put the summary at the end for any that is in a hurry and just wants to know whats announced but that's just my opinion!

Especially when it shows a leader's thoughts, opinions, and concerns as much as it offers group information. I like seeing how they're personally reacting to recent events and the task of the meeting itself. Such as someone being nervous for their first one, or weary in an announcement about a death or battle. I find them super interesting.

I read them. Sometimes I just skim through the meeting if it's just another meeting, but I will actually stop and read them if there's something super important involved like plot stuff or something.

when i was younger, i used to be the same where i'd scroll to promotions and demotions because i used to care solely about the activity and progression of a group. however, when i started leading groups, i had a newfound respect for the construction of meetings for the reasons said above. a simple welcome to new characters is wonderful to see along with recaps, concerns, future plots .etc because it shows the leader has an active presence in not just the activity of a group but also the group's overall wellbeing which is indicated by the number of plots created. a healthy and well off group, to me, is a group that is able to progress the depth of their characters and relationships rather than progress through ranks and activity (it took a long time to learn that though because i always thought that good clans are fast paced clans....something that i'm a bit ashamed of but i'm happy to now know). also, they reveal a lot of unannounced information such as why a leader might show distance with another character or be afraid of demoting someone - it makes it different from reading something like the news as you are reminded that the leader is a character with their own thoughts and feelings, not just a being that gives and takes ranks. the only time i'll skim is when there's nothing but filler between the dialogue, something i've been guilty of doing myself.

pHAT agree, i used to just read promotions and maybe skim a bit of dialogue and type up a subpar post, but after taking charge of a clan and really coming to understand how much effort is put into meetings, i've started paying far more attention to them, bc i know how long it somehow takes to get them up, and when they're especially long with a lot of announcements, it goes to show that the leader really is active and involved in the clan. imo a meeting is the same as any other post and i treat it as such

i mostly read whatever they're saying, not like their actions or how they're feeling
