he supposed that there were bigger and more scary things out there, but it didn't stop him from tensing up under the blankets at every roll of thunder. the thunder was so, so loud and he was oh so scared of it, woken from pleasant dreams by a horrid nightmare that hung so heavily over his head, threatening him with threats that shouldn't be able to reach him through the veil of life and death. swallowing thickly as he lifted his head, looking around the dark comforting walls of seven's home, automatically searching for the blind lioness. flinching back at the crash of thunder and bright flash of lightning, sinking back into his nest as he trembled.

his forearm was healing well and so were his other various cuts and bruises, but he didn't feel the need to get up and leave the safety of the covered room, especially during this storm. he knew he should go look in on the kid he'd rescued, but there was a sense of trepidation to even move on his own. shuffling under the comfort of the blankets, he reached out tentatively, searching for seven, the utterly soft and quiet voice of his mental thoughts only showing an image of the blind tigress and his memories supplying her scent, to any who could hear his mental search. was she there? if she was ... as silly as it was for him as an adult, he wanted to know if he could ask her if he could lay next to her until the storm passed.
