if you're familiar with aya from another site, she is not the same character. fundamentally she is the same person, but her upbringing and family is completely different here, and she retains no memories of the other site - she is native to this timeline, not a crossover from there.

[spoiler=further personality notes]inspired by the likes of victor frankenstein, aya is definitely an overachiever. she has a thirst for knowledge that may never be quenched, and a desire to see her visions realised. being a young adult, she learns quickly still, spending a lot of time studying books on subjects she is interested in, and learning from those she looks up to.
in the positive, she has a good sense of humour, can be easily befriended, and will be very loyal to those she deems worthy. negatively, her temper is short and violent, she overestimates her capabilities, and she is emotionally distant. befriending her is one thing, but truly bonding with her is another thing entirely.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=further appearance notes]tortoiseshell cat with yellow eyes, seems to always have some dried mud in her fur and paws, she's not super appearance conscious so it doesn't bother her much. she has a sleek frame and her muscular structure is more built for climbing and manoeuvring rather than fighting and power.
when she's comfortable, she's liable to lie down, stretch, sit in any weird position and just generally sink into her environment. her posture is rarely rigid unless she's scared or anxious. she's an excellent climber, so sometimes she'll just be hanging out in the trees. as one of her key tools, her claws are usually unsheathed whether she does it consciously or not. this could be seen as threatening alongside her somewhat offputting manner, but she rarely means to intimidate.[/spoiler]

APPEARANCE
Tall and muscular, Aya is a tortoiseshell cat built more for manoeuvrability and acrobatics than raw power. Her dark fur is sleek and often patched with dried mud, thanks to her excessive time in Tanglewood's swamps. With bright yellow eyes that are almost unnervingly focused, she's prone to forget to sheathe her claws, adding to her offputting and sometimes accidentally intimidating persona. Recently lost a quarter of her tail and gained a notch in her right ear.
PERSONALITY
Friendly and good-humoured, Aya is easy to get along with, if a little awkward at times. Aya's a little crazy and can be very egotistical about her work, maintaining a very "go big or go home" attitude, but her work ethic is very good. Negatively, she can be very overprotective of friends and loved ones, and can get very jealous if she feels she is being replaced or that her position (professionally or socially) is being threatened. Positively, she cares deeply about her loved ones and will defend them to the death.
