ROLLING UP MY SLEEVES || o, joining - astre - 05-25-2018 BRIGITTE. låt proffsen sköta det här || speech || info [abbr="Damn... Where the hell am I?"]"Fan ... Var i helvete är jag?"[/abbr]
Brigitte Lindholm, a stout, enthusiastic young lioness and former apprentice of the Crusaders, was lost in the wilderness. It'd been a week since her caretakers shipped her off to live in a habitat similar to her natural one. And now, she just found herself walking in a straight line for days. This wasn't the ideal situation for her. Her iron tail sank into the earth behind her, dragging along and pulling up every blade of grass and weed that met it. Every once in a while, she'd pull it off of the ground and inspect it for scratches and dirt in the grooves, but she let it drag otherwise. It's not a fashion statement, it's a weapon. She was more worried about clogging the chain-like connections of the tail rather than how it looked cosmetically. Every time she looked at her tail, though, the only thing on her mind was her father, and the rest of Dungen. She remembers her father's voice, as well as Reinhardt's and the others, like it was yesterday. "Brigitte, my baby, the caretakers have made their choice. I'm sorry it had to be this way. You'll do amazing things, wherever you go." The thought of her father's voice made her well up. She could remember the disdain in his voice, as if he knew he couldn't do anything about what the caretakers' choices are. She already missed him. She missed all the crazy things -- inventions, even -- that he would imagine. He was truly an engineer in a lion's body. Another voice. A deeper, raspier voice. "My greatest apprentice. I'm very proud of you. Your father, he is too. I'm glad he gave me permission to drag you around on my adventures." A hearty chuckle is heard. "Listen... When you're out there, you'll make a new family, and a new home. Be their shield. Protect them with your life." Brigitte nodded her head quickly in real life as if Reinhardt were talking to her directly, rather than through a flashback. She huffed, her nostrils flaring and a smile plastering on her face. Thoughts of determination zoomed through her head. It was time to prove herself as a Crusader. It's what Dungen would have wanted. It's what Reinhardt would have wanted. It's what her father would have wanted. "I will be their shield." -- It'd been hours since her last break. She became parched, and the heat from the blazing sun above didn't ease the situation. Her tail began to tire her as well, her hind legs becoming sore from traveling around the plains in search of a territory to reside in. She began to be drawn to a strange scent. It wasn't like anything she's ever smelled before. She followed the whereabouts of the scent towards what looked like a small waterfall area. Brigitte's mouth began to water as she padded towards the trickling falls, hoping to quench her extreme thirst. Re: ROLLING UP MY SLEEVES || o, joining - Warringkingdoms - 05-26-2018 Intruders seemed to be more and more common nowadays; most were of the "accidentally went too far into the territory" variety, but a few had been of the "looking to shank someone" variety. Either way, the sight of anyone within the borders that she didn't already know was enough to make her wary. The lioness at the waterfall appeared tired and thirsty, but Rin remained on her guard as she approached- if the stranger did turn out to be aggressive, one swipe of that iron tail could knock her head clean off (a macabre thought perhaps, but probably true). "Who are you?" she asked softly, tugging at her scarf with one paw. After a moment, she added, "Er, drink first before answering if you need to." They certainly had experienced a high volume of trespassers as of late (and much to Margaery's disdain). After the 'Raven' incident, she had grown to be especially wary of those who seemingly wandered onto their territory- even if such was an innocent mistake. She understood mistakes... she just didn't wish to see her clanmates harmed again by a rogue blade dispensed by the hands of a, well, rogue. She was here now, arriving with an unreadable expression as she gazed between Warringkingdoms and the newcomer. She didn't seem to be intent on disturbing anything - she was just taking a drink after all - but that tail set her on edge. It certainly didn't seem made for appearances. She idly wondered if such could be considered a weapon and, in the same vein, if she should be worried. Margaery didn't air her worries though, instead resigning to silence as Rin handled the situation. Re: ROLLING UP MY SLEEVES || o, joining - BASTILLEPAW - 05-26-2018 ![]()
Bastille didn’t really fuck. Most of those who wandered past their border were confused or lost, and the vast majority of them ended up sticking around once they realized they’d stumbled upon a group. Sure, they had scent markers, but he couldn’t actually begrudge strangers for not recognizing them for what they were. As long as no one got hurt, he didn’t care; and if someone did get hurt, as long as he could hunt down the culprit, he didn’t care. Then again, Bast did generally didn’t care about much. In the days following Starry’s death, he seemed to have spiked in inner turmoil, before dipping straight into a state of numbness. His stare was dark and apathetic, sliding over this femme listlessly as he stopped beside the others. The ground still cracked jaggedly under his paws with every step, but Bastille didn’t seem to notice as he said, flatly, ”This is Ascendants territory, by the way. You seem lost.”

Re: ROLLING UP MY SLEEVES || o, joining - astre - 05-26-2018 BRIGITTE. låt proffsen sköta det här || speech || info The sudden voices behind Brigitte shocked her, almost comically, as she hopped into the air in response. There were three of them, and she’d been outnumbered. She didn’t realize she had trespassed into unknown territory.
She swung her body around to meet the strangers behind her, the flail on her backside swinging with reckless abandon, striking a nearby stone on the wall. The tail vibrated vigorously, sending a jolt through Brigitte’s body. She gathered her composure while she still had the time. She didn’t need to seem hostile, or crazy, after all. She dipped her head in a respectful fashion towards her strangers, pulling back her long mane with her forepaw and adjusting the clip so that it doesn’t get caught in the wind. She wiped the dripping water off of her chin. She must have looked like a slob drinking the water from the falls the way she did, but what could she say? It felt like days since she’d had any kind of hydration. ”H-Hej!” Her native tongue blurted out in a panic. It seems that they weren’t familiar with the language she spoke, though, so she reverted to the language the Crusaders taught her. ”I’d not meant to trespass inta’ your territory! I guess that stuff I smelled was scent markers, huh? Sorry that this was the way things had to start out. My name is Brigitte Lindholm.” She smiled wide, true to her enthusiastic persona. She spied one of the strangers taking a look at her tail, which had probably seemed a bit dangerous, especially to new faces. She hid it behind her body as to not seem like she was poised to attack any of them. ”Don’t worry, I’m not here ta’ start a fight. Actually, I’m lookin’ for a place ta’ call home.” This place... what did one of them call it? The Ascendants territory? For some reason, it felt familiar. Perhaps that’s why her caretakers brought her here. By the looks of it, they were pretty tight knit, ready to protect one another if hostility struck the group. It was perfect. She waited, allowing her brain to make its decision about Brigitte. A few more ticks passed before she added, "Guess it's about time to fix our borders up. We need a lil' something that's more obvious than fucking scent markers." She flicked an ear at her outward musings before shaking her head. In the end, she presented a lopsided grin towards Brigitte. The girl was alright in her book - a first for trespassers if one did not count Rosegarden. Brig seemed sincere in her words, and she was actually wholly and completely sorry for trespassing (an actual first). "If you are planning on joining, welcome then. We can show you to camp, and I can give you a tour, if you'd like. Or if you're more of a solo kinda gal, you can go on your own - we have maps 'n' shit," amused eyes darted towards Bastille, having stolen his infamous line, [b]"Ooh, and you'll need to start work on your pendant once you're all settled in." |
